This sequentially-ordered program offers a developmentally sound approach to music literacy that builds symbolic thinking, concentration, memory, and self expression. Each class engages your child in activities that establish a solid music-making foundation while encouraging a life-long appreciation for music from different cultures and genres.

Activities include singing, dancing, both structured and creative movement, playing instruments - individually and in ensemble, guided listening, ear training, and recognizing and writing musical patterns.

Classes will focus on the sounds, stories and music of natural environments and of different cultures here and around the world. Orchestral instruments will be introduced individually, and then in the context of an ensemble.

Family materials include a CD, poster/folder, game pieces, instrument pages, notation games, and a parent booklet for each unit.

Tuition: $60 for Spring into Summer (6 classes)
$150 for Fall and Winter sessions (14 classes)
